Moving day
Well I just got my account setup, and I’ll have to pick a domain by tomorrow night and I’ll be up and running at my new site. I still have no idea what to call my site.

I lack a name
I can’t seem to be able to think of a name for my domain, so maybe you guys would like to offer some suggestions or something, heh.
Speaking of names, I recently re-read Scott Adam’s God’s Debris for like the hundredth time, and there was this phrase that caught my attention. You can read it online here because Scott Adam’s was nice enough to put it online for free, but I bought it because I support him. You should really go read it, it’ll be worth your time.
Anyway, I digress.
“Scientists often invent words to fill the holes in their understanding. These words are meant as conveniences until real understanding can be found.
…
More often, however, the patch words will take on a life of their own and no one will remember that they were only intended to be placeholders.”
So I thought to myself, wow that’s so true, and it makes sense. It’s like how in maths we give unknown values names like X and Y until we can determine its value. True? Then suddenly it struck me to put it into a more personal context - me. See I have a name, just like you guys, and I thought maybe my name is a placeholder meant to hold me over until I can discover and understand the true me!
To quote Socrates, “the unexamined life is not worth living”.

Got a questionable hook-up? These guys will help!
Really awesome magic trick!

Got meme?
So I’ve been tagged by Syefri so I will be nice about it and do it, should be fun.
How many schools did I go to?
Well, there was kindergarten and primary and 1 year of secondary school in Singapore before I came back to Malaysia where I attended Garden International School. I then went to Taylors after graduation and now I’m studying at ICOM! So I guess if you want to count, that’s about 6?
Was I the studious nerd, or the last minute hero?
I was more like the who-gives-a-fuck kind of guy, and at times the heartbroken guy and hopeless romantic. I’m still the who-gives-a-fuck kind of guy and I kind of outgrew the hopeless romantic phase. Thank goodness.
Was I the class ‘taiko’ or the teacher’s pet?
Well it depends on the teacher and subject I guess, but for some strange I’ve always ended up being a favorite for english teachers. Not the teacher’s pet, but a favorite and I get away with a lot of stuff that your average student can’t.
What was the biggest rule I broke in school?
Come to think of it was I quite a well-behaved student.
Three subjects I enjoyed.
English, Malay (yea you read that right) and Add-maths (again you read that right).
Three teachers that inspired me.
Well as of now there have been only two teachers in my life that have made a big difference and impact. One of them is Mr Mah back in GIS. He taught us Malay (thus it was one of my fave subjects). He was cool and we’d always joke around during his class and he never got pissed, and he’d act all buddy-buddy with us, and we could talk to him about anything and he’d laugh. He was a good sport.
The second is my current lecturer at ICOM - Freddie. I don’t like him much, but he is an inspiration and he always brings me back down to earth when I’m all up there thinking that success can be achieved w/o hard work. He’s always straight to the point, and brutally honest, which is a quality I love in a person. As hurtful as the truth may be, it’s always better than listening to a pack of lies any day. He’s showed me that if you put your mind to it you can do it, and that there is no failure, only many attempts at success. I’ve heard that many times before but no one really put it into perspective like he did.
Apparently I’m supposed to tag other unfortunate souls but I’ll take mercy on you guys so if you want to do it, go ahead, if not that’s cool too.

Life is depressing
I just discovered that life is depressing. My holidays are ending and I start class tomorrow already, and I was like damn that’s fast, and I was talking to Brenda and she said her hols start next week. I mentioned how unfair it was and how I wanted more holiday time and she agreed and said who didn’t.
Then it struck me.
We never get a break! I swear all we ever do is work work and work! Even when we have a holiday we know it’s only temporary and that eventually we’ll have to go back to our everyday lives and jobs and responsibilities. I’m pretty sure even celebrities aren’t having as much fun as they look. Sure there’s the ton of money and fame, but then you need to keep your image up, and constantly try to put yourself out there, and that itself is a job already! Celebrity life isn’t all the glitz and glamor as I once thought. Of course if you really wanted to all you’d have to do is just bum around and you’ll have your break there, but in today’s world where money talks and everything and everyone is so materialistic, you’ll just end up being a homeless bum, and even then you’d have to work to get money to eat. We’re like slaves to reality.
This is kind of depressing because the only time we ever get a break is in death, and for those who believe in reincarnation, well, have fun at your second life. Lather, rinse, repeat. Hulloooooo world.
The drivel they play
Is it me or is radio going down the drain? I swear all I ever hear on radio these days is RnB and hip-hop. Screw that shit, it’s like the worst genre ever next to techno, but even then techno has some rather catchy beats to it.
Bah I miss the old days when pop was pop..like the teenybopper stuff like the younger Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera and Backstreet Boys and N Sync. I guess even though I’m not a fan of them, I’d rather listen to them sing about love and heartbreaks and stuff rather than listen to that RnB hip-hop drivel which is always about sex, big booty’s, cars, cash, partying etc.
Right now Kanye West seems to be the man for everything hip-hop related, and I remember catching a trailer of a show he did with a orchestra backing him up. If that’s not the most stupid thing I’ve ever heard of, then I don’t know what is. It sounded horrible, plus the players seemed to have some kind of retarded looking face paint on them. Trust Mr Kanye West to be a total douchebag and ruining the orchestral fusion with music. The only people that can get away with fusing orchestras with their music are rockers, like Metallica and Nightwish.
Hip-hop + orchestra = Shit + rice = horrible. ‘nuf said.

This is old school!
Blessed Union of Souls - Hey Leonardo (She likes me for me)
Wow I just rediscovered this super cool song from waaaay back when I was still in GIS, and I think I remember catching their video on NTV7 (those were my teenybopper days). Anyway I love how a song can bring back such memories and evoke these kind of feelings in me. In a way I kind of miss how uncomplicated life was back then as opposed to now. Youth is indeed wasted on the young.
More magic!
Ok so I’m really bored!!
Oh by the way, for you n00bs, episode 10 of purepwnage is out! Go check it out now!

Always on time
For some strange reason, I’m almost always the first one to arrive whenever there’s a outing, or a meeting, and sometimes even for class. Puncuality is a virtue and a good habit that we should all strive for, but sometimes it can be annoying. Like if someone makes a date with me at 3pm, naturally that means “I’ll be there by 3pm” and not “I’ll leave the house at 3pm even though I stay in like an hour away from the place”. More often than not it leaves me very much alone, very much idle, and very much annoyed.
edit On another note here is another video I did. Enjoy
